There is so much to do. There are so many places to be. We better go! How fast can we get there? There is nothing like a good shortcut. When it comes to point A and point B, there’s almost nothing better than a shortcut!
I have taken many shortcuts over the years; side streets, business processes, bureaucracy, and even cliff-notes. Before you take the short-cut, ask yourself what you are “shorting”. When I used cliff notes (back in my schools days) I “shorted” my experience of the book. I skipped the valuable part of the ride to allow a quick stop from point A to point B.
Before darting down that short-cut, consider exactly what you are “shorting” yourself. If your focus is solely aiming at Point B, you just may turn your experience into a big blur, possibly missing the value of the ride.
