The possible choices during our journey are endless. We choose our own path. We control how we react to bad traffic. We steer onto our paths. It is our own drive that fuels us to blaze our own trail.

Ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu reminded us:

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habit.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

We have traveled over two thousand winters since then. In time our decisions create history.

Our footprints become trails.
Our trails become roads.
Our roads become highways.

Create exemplary footprints. Contribute a trail worth following. Lead us to transform the high roads into our highways.

Lean into Curves

The ride has finally evened out. Adjusting for the weather is ongoing. Balance is maintained along the straight level road. Life is good.

You know it is coming but you may not see it. There may be signs warning you of the sharp change coming. The road may just surprise you. Change will come. The road will curve. New forces will impact your ride. No two curves seem to be exactly the same. Adjust to this curve, at this time, on this road, with this weather, over this pavement, in this moment.

Lean into curves. Adjust to the forces. Develop yourself to get past the turn.

Observe. Change. Grow.

Chart New Territory

After over four billion years of birthdays our world still has new territories to chart. Sure, most of the dry surface of the planet has been documented, but our ever-evolving world continues to offer new barriers to break. Whether your path is technological, metaphysical, economical or another expanding road, uncharted paths await you.

History tells us of the early explorers searching to find (and take) exotic treasures that apparently led to discovering the “New World”. However, the substantial assets of the New World were created much later by the people who arrived to create, to build, to give. If there is going to be a treasure to be found, somebody has to create it. Why not you? Why not now?
